Ingredients of Makhana Dosa

  • 1 Cup roasted makhana
  • 1 cup rava (sooji or semolina)
  • 1/2 cup poha
  • 1/2 cup thick curds (dahi)
  • 1 cup water, or as required
  • ½ tsp salt, or as required
  • 1/2 fruit salt (optional)

How to Make Makhana Dosa

1.   Mix together all the ingredients with ½ cup water in a bowl. Let the mixture sit for around 8-10 minutes.

2.  Transfer the mixture to a blender and add ½ cup water more. Blend to form a smooth paste. You may add more water, but the batter should not become too runny.

3.  Whisk the batter in a bowl to get more fluffy dosas. You can also add a bit of fruit salt to it.

4.  Grease a tawa or pan with oil. Once heated, ladle a spoon or two of the batter on top and spread it to make round dosas.

5.  Cook on both sides and serve hot with coconut or any other chutney.
